Another big field and from a shortlist of Royal Crest, Fly By Nelly and KING OF DEFENCE, it is the last-named who is taken to emerge victorious. Michael Jarvis' gelded son of Kyllachy is not one of the stable stars but he showed enough in three starts last season to think that a mark of 59 for his reappearance at Folkestone could be lenient. However despite being backed into odds-on, he failed to fire behind Cavendish Road (also runs here but on 4lb worse terms) but he may have needed the run and is taken to build on that effort this afternoon. Jamie Spencer looks an interesting jockey booking for Feet Of Fury, whilst Mr Flannegan and Flying Silks come here on the back of decent runs in defeat. Fly By Nelly is consistent, as are My Best Man and Mrs Slocombe. Secret Hero and Cake Stand are unexposed, and each needs plenty of respect on their handicap debuts. Lots of these are open to plenty of improvement as well so the market may help provide some important clues, however it is King Of Defence who can lead them all home.
