Not the easiest of races to start this monster programme. Bat Masterson won over 1m4f here in May but the ground was on the easy side and some rain would help his cause. Roman Flight was making his racecourse debut when landing a 25/1 surprise over a mile at Limerick and will have been well schooled over timber. Whatever It Takes has battled to two narrow victories on the Flat recently and those qualities should stand him in good stead while Ilissos is one to keep an eye on. WHY BUT WHY landed a Fairyhouse handicap from a mark of 60 in June and has run very well in much better handicaps subsequently. Jessica Harrington will have him ready for this and he can make a winning start to his new career.
