Antica has gone up 7lbs for his win here over course and distance last time which is perfectly fair but that was on a much softer surface than today's and on this ground preference is for Obe Brave, who gets the vote over Skhilling Spirit. The last mentioned is trained by David Barron who could hardly have his team in better form but he is plenty high enough in the weights now and is another that may prefer a softer surface. Charles Darwin is entitled to come on for his reappearance run at Leicester and has to be considered along with Ryedale Ovation, who does have a bit to find with Antica on running last time but may be better served by today's ground. There are certainly no problems on that score for Obe Brave though who ran a good race for one so inexperienced on his handicap debut at Newmarket and is taken to go one better here.
