Another tough 6f sprint to sort out and the speed all looks to be on the far side where SIOUX RISING might turn the tables on Gap Princess now she is 2lbs better off than their recent clash at the track. Geoff Harker's filly went into that race more battle-hardened and emerged half-a-length to the good, but after a year or so off Richard Fahey's charge is entitled to come on more for the run and is preferred today. David Nicholls won this last year and sends Stewards' Sprint winner Joseph Henry this time. From 5lbs higher he should be right there, while the prolific Piazza San Pietro is not discounted with anything but respect, though with another 3lbs to carry and the ground not as fast as he likes his run may come to an end. Tajneed only just failed in the Great St Wilfrid and may fare best of the nearside runners but preference is for Sioux Rising.
