Diamond Josh, Lucys Lady and Kings Cavalier form the shortlist for this apprentice seller to open the card and the vote is given to Diamond Josh. The selection won his first race on turf last time at Bath when he got the better of Chantelle's Dream. He has ground conditions to suit and a fair draw tonight and although he is no good thing, he has an obvious chance. Lucys Lady rates the main danger as she has been in decent form of late and she is another with a decent draw. She is dropped in trip which should suit and she will not be far away at the finish with this faster ground also in her favour. Kings Cavalier has been a little disappointing so far this season but he is dropped in grade here and in this company he can't be dismissed lightly. Chairman Rick has it all to do from his high draw and looks worth taking on, and in a tough race for punters to call we will side with Diamond Josh to lead them home.
