Emily Davison will feel rather out of place against these old-timers, of which INXILE makes by far the greatest appeal and the grand Nicholls servant can post a first success since 2012 when good enough to land a Listed contest at Tipperary. Clearly not at that level nowadays, he was still good enough to get within a length and a half of Smoothtalkinrascal at Musselburgh in April in the Borderlescott Trophy. This ought to be straightforward if he turns up at that level. Swendab has shown little this term but would be the main threat if back to last season's form and can fight out the place money battle with Hamoody and Foreign Rhythm.
