This could be the easiest task that FLASHY LOVER has had and she gets the vote ahead of Pure Nostalgia and Dower Glen in what looks an open contest. Mick Channon's filly is one of several in the race who are dropping in class today. These races are not the soft touch that they are often seen to be so it won't be a walk in the park, however a repeat of her run at Salisbury when not beaten far behind the smart Practitioner would probably be enough to take this. We will forgive her Brighton run last time as she looked all at sea and give her one more chance today. Drumpellier's run behind Mahiki last time has been franked with the winner going in since, Pure Nostalgia is a nicely-bred filly who drops in class and may find this less testing track more to her liking, whilst Patachou would not need to be anything special to make a winning debut and needs a market check. Dower Glen tries the blinkers for the first time; she wasn't disgraced in the Hilary Needler back in May but doesn't seem to have moved on since. Newcomer Drinking Buddy is already gelded but Kevin Ryan has a good record at the track and it would be unwise to ignore his chance on debut, but in an open race we are happy to side with Flashy Lover.
