        Verdict

        ROUND THE ISLAND (NAP) won on his only previous appearance here and looked to be back on-song when runner-up to Avenue Of Stars at Pontefract last week. He’s been lowered a further 3lb so is the logical selection in a race that won’t take much winning. Oriental Splendour would have a chance at the weights but hasn’t raced since September and has done all of his winning over 5f. Best of the rest may be the unexposed three-year-old Champagne Angel.
