        Verdict

        SEAFLOWER only lost narrowly last time out in a maiden here and can go one better today, whilst Waltz Darling debuts and Paper Dreams will be hoping to improve upon a distinctly average first performance. Seaflower is by Acclamation out of Rebel Clan and was a close second behind Sergeant Suzie here on her first outing. She stood every chance of winning it approaching the line but Tim Easterby's filly was just edged out that day. This was a highly intriguing run and we think there may be more to come. Paper Dreams weakened with a furlong to go last month at York in a six furlong contest and although not the most inspiring of efforts, Kevin Ryan will be hoping for more from Paper Dreams. Kevin Ryan has an 18% strike rate over the past five seasons and therefore any horse that he turns out should be monitored. Richard Fahey is another with a decent record at Ripon and Waltz Darling represents for him today. Ya Hafed is assisted by the skilled Ryan Moore and with a decent pedigree the market may lead to clues about this horse. However, in this first race on the card we side with the track-tested Seaflower.
