Silvery Moon came within inches of landing a gamble on soft ground off this lowly mark at Ayr last week and looks to be back in form. He could make a race of it with the three-year-olds. Victory Chime didn’t do himself justice at Goodwood last month and still has time on his side. Gododdin has won at Nottingham and Brighton this year but it was good to firm ground on both occasions. Legal History is still seeking a first victory but it isn’t far away judged on recent evidence while Indomeneo was aiming too high at Beverley at the start of the month. EPAULEMENT is another with a bit to prove on today’s going but he’s back in the right grade after solid runs at Haydock and Goodwood and can defy a further 3lb rise. Save The Bees is preferred to Perisher and Rhosneigr of the others.
