The feature race on the card can go to Mutamarres, with Charles Parnell and Bentong seen as just two dangers. There are plenty in with chances here, as you would expect in a race of this nature, but preference is for Mutamarres who ran a blinder when headed close home by Dark Missile at Newmarket 11 days ago, leading the far side group until collared right on the line. On that run alone he holds the likes of Green Park and Bertie Southstreet, and should make a bold bid to make amends. Quite a few of these met in the race won by Azygous at Chester recently, with Blazing Heights faring best in second after being held up off the pace. He can come late to snatch a place, while of the rest, Charles Parnell makes some appeal off his light weight after hitting form here last time. This is a big leap in class though and he will do well to actually win. Bentong has the class to figure, and will find conditions much more to his liking than at York, where he never got going in the soft ground. Prior to that, Paul Cole's charge had smashed the course record at Salisbury, with Dark Missile in arrears, and on that form holds a number of today's opponents, including the selection theoretically. However, we have been much taken with the attitude of Mutamarres and he will prove a tough horse to pass.
