Verdict
This is a wide open handicap in which Summer Magic is entitled to plenty of respect, but the tissue favourite could be worth taking on and we are happy to take a chance on Benbaun. Benbaun was hampered in a Nursery at Hamilton last time after winning well at Chepstow on his previous outing. This trip clearly suits and at a decent price we expect the Mark Wallace charge to go well. Top weight Summer Magic has obvious claims and ran well at Catterick last time having been dropped in trip to five furlongs. He has also gone well previously at this track and is bound to be in the frame at the finish. Of the rest, Breezit is dropping in trip and could be interesting. Katz Pyjamas was well behind Summer Magic at Catterick, Westborough has been running fairly consistently without too much reward and First Eclipse was well beaten in a hot Nursery at Doncaster last time but could do better here. Summer Magic will have his supporters in this contest and could go close, but Benbaun is our tentative choice in an open race.
