Rare Coincidence must be rated a big threat following his fine front-running performance a week ago but it may not be as easy to dominate here and he is passed over in favour of BLUE JET. Richard Whittaker has a profitable record at the track and Blue Jet is from a family he knows well. He has run here before and not been disgraced on ground that was probably too soft but now granted a quicker surface he is expected to run a big race at rewarding odds. Coronado's Gold is one to watch in the betting, along with Sonny Sam who has been sighted over hurdles recently and doesn't look harshly treated here on a mark of 52. Bijou Dan ran well on quick ground last time out but his best runs have arguably come on softer ground and he may prefer a drop or two of rain. Miss Keck has been allotted a mark of 61 for this handicap debut and this well-related mare looks sure to appreciate this step up in trip. The market will help guide as to whether Northern Dune will win two in a row, whilst Mister Pete is consistent but his hold-up style of running means that he needs to get the breaks. Blue Jet is fancied to fly in.
