    Verdict

COUNTRY (NAP) is fitted with cheekpieces after easily beating Noble Prospector at Ripon. The runner-up is 5lb better off but William Haggas’ gelding is quickly making up for lost time and can complete the hat-trick. Cardano won twice over a mile at the start of the summer and was successful over this trip at Newmarket in June. He is a likeable sort so it will be a surprise if he’s not in the thick of the action again while Emirates Knight is worth another try over the longer trip given his pedigree. Loch Ness Monster was well backed at Hamilton but found one too good and has been rewarded with a 2lb rise.
