This is a wide open maiden that pits some unexposed types against improving sorts such as Quite Sparky, Kathlatino and our selection STRIKE A DEAL. Our pick was only narrowly beaten at Nottingham by Al Dafa and for her first run this year that was a really decent run. It can be reasonably assumed that there is scope for the horse to progress from that race and a win could be on the cards for her today. Quite Sparky had a nice seasonal bow at Ripon when he weakened late on and was beaten by Law To Himself. With an improved run here he can challenge for the top prize. Kathlatino is also an improving sort and remains firmly in our calculations for this contest. The newcomers do not offer that much appeal in this race but Eric Alston has turned out a couple of juvenile winners at Redcar so Octaviana may be the best of the debut runners. Strike A Deal gets the nod in this affair.
