A very good line-up for this Listed race and in it we give the vote to Gonfilia, with her biggest dangers given as Vortex, Twilight Blues and, possibly, Iqte Saab. Looking at the field. Vortex has been in fine form since the summer and won a Listed race in Sweden last time. Much as the penalty he has to carry for that success is not ideal, he still can be given a chance based on ratings. However, that last comment applies to just about all of the field, including Gonfilia, who carries a Group 3 penalty but she looked as good as she has been all season when just touched off by Attune at Doncaster last time when she raced from just about the worst of the draw. Twilight Blues has been campaigned lightly this season but looked to be coming to hand last time and the step up to seven furlongs could yet show him in an even better light. Iqte Saab and Orcadian have not yet recaptured their smart two-year-old form, although the latter has been campaigned sparingly, while Moonlight Man has occasionally knocked at the door at this type of level, but it hasn't opened yet this time around. Lucky Pipit was well behind the selection at Doncaster, but surely that run was too bad to be true, and Ithaca is another who has so far flattered to fall just short of her intended targets. This, then spins us back to a more-reliable option, which is Gonfilia.
