Teelin Star has been one of the 'talking horses' of the season but has failed to complete on either start after being sent straight over fences after landing a Listowel bumper in style on his seasonal reappearance. It seems a logical move to revert to hurdles to bolster his confidence and he may well be good enough. However, PRIDE OFTHE PARISH. lightly-raced for an 8-y-o, ran really well on his first start for around a year when an excellent second to the highly regarded Road To Riches on his hurdling debut, a long way clear of the third. He looks a useful performer in the making for Willie Mullins and receives the vote. Blissful Moment came to grief last time but was a useful handicapper on the level for Sir Michael Stoute and surely there is more to come from him over timber.
