IMAAM is proving to be rather expensive to follow having been a beaten favourite in each of his last two starts but John Dunlop's colt has easily the best form in this field and is hard to oppose so he gets the vote to finally open his account with the main dangers rated as Distinctive Spirit and Final Salute. The last mentioned has finished last in each of his two starts so far but Bryan Smart's colt has been given a break since the latest of them, should appreciate the step up in trip and he has to be respected. The newcomers make little appeal on pedigree with Richard Fahey's Goliaths Boy probably the pick of them but of more interest may be Georgie Bee, who should do better on this ground than on the testing conditions first time up. Emsbay Crag made a promising debut at Ripon last month and should be thereabouts along with Kevin Ryan's Distinctive Spirit, who improved from his first start to his second. This is not a race that lacks any great strength in depth and it is hard to get away from Imaam.
