Amused did us a big favour eight days ago and may pay to follow again at the expense of a whole host of dangers including Fantasy Believer, Gdansk, J M W Turner, Full Spate and Paddywack. With that lot in opposition, not to mention Time To Remember and Million Percent, this is no cake walk for Richard Hannon's charge, but the decision to drop her back to six furlongs after some unlucky runs over seven proved the answer here eight days ago. Continual heavy rain that day had turned conditions soft which did not seem to bother this half-sister to Astonished and Bishop's Court who was produced perfectly by Paul Hanagan to beat a number of other highly drawn rivals with the aid of a first time visor. She has been upped seven pounds for that return to form, but the aid is left on and she is obviously blooming at present, being in foal to Kyllachy, so is the one to beat. Fantasy Believer found a five pound rise and the ground a bit too lively in the Stewards Cup Trial at Goodwood after scraping home against a large field at Ayr the time before. He should be there or thereabouts though, as should Time To Remember who is still attractively weighted on his old form after a return to the winner's enclosure at York. The same comment applies to J M W Turner who scored at Hamilton last time, while Gdansk, an unlucky second at Haydock and Paddywack, an eye catching fourth at Beverley from an impossible draw on Saturday are others who cannot be ruled out entirely. It is going to be fast, competitive, and at the end hopefully one that will see Amused pass the post first.
