In depth

Verdict

A small but competitive field goes to post for this Novices Chase. French Executive was third behind Strong Paladin under similar conditions last time out and he looks sure to make his presence felt but a chance is taken on Multi Talented. The gelding from the Lawrence Wells yard has more scope for improvement than his rivals as he has only ran three times. He is goes on the ground and the booking of Leighton Aspell catches the eye. Take The Stand won a poor race in good style last time out and he to is proven on the ground, but he looked far from an easy ride and for that reason he is over looked. Stormy Skye is from an in form yard but his best efforts have come with more cut in the ground. Kingston Banker ran well when second behind El Bandito last time but he looked in the handicappers grip and he runs off the same mark here. Just Ruben looks woefully one paced and is readily passed over.
