    Verdict

STEVIE THUNDER was well clear of the third when runner-up to Lifestyle, who has since won again, at Ludlow last time and looks sure to be winning one of these before long. It could be today. Highly Regal has been placed over C&D on his last two starts and won't have to find much improvement to open his account, while only a pound on official ratings separated Beggar's Opera and Kilburn on the Flat, and both make their hurdling debuts here. Kowloon went close in a bumper on his debut and could prove best of the rest.
