Verdict

This is a dreadful race and the vote goes to Party Games, who looks to have been found a suitably poor event to finally open his account with Fireside Legend and Miss Quote rated the main dangers. The selection is nothing out of the ordinary but has shown enough in novice-company to suggest that he is more than capable of beating this bunch. Miss Quote has only had the one outing so far and did not show much sign of ability on that occasion either, finishing down the field behind On The Outside. It may be too early to write her off but the five-year-old can hardly be recommended with any confidence. Jack Joseph's Coleshill Lad has given little sign of encouragement in six starts to date and a bigger threat may come from Fireside Legend. The son of College Chapel has at least got some form over hurdles and was good enough to win on the flat, albeit a seller on the all-weather as a two-year-old. Party Games has got recent form over hurdles though and is the obvious choice.
