Oscar's Ballad was engaged to run in the amateurs' handicap here yesterday but his yard is also represented by Western Bound, who has the cheekpieces back on today after appearing to resent blinkers when favourite at Clonmel last week. Lewlaur Supreme has been put up 6lb for finishing second at Newcastle but Bertie Milan has only gone up 2lb for filling the same position behind Sendali at Kelso last month and CROP WALKER is only 3lb higher than when beaten half-a-length by Borero over this trip at Bangor. Kate Walton's nine-year-old is lightly raced for his age and can gain a deserved first win here. Lexicon Lad and Frontier Spirit are others with claims but Vallani has been in the handicapper's grip since winning at Musselburgh in February and Mr Nobody has his stamina to prove over today's trip.
