Verdict
Impulsive American and Hostile Fire were due to take one another on over fences on Tuesday evening. Much will depend on how the pair take the race on Tuesday so we'll take them on with MARDALE. Nicky Richards is a shrewd handler who brings his novices through the ranks with intelligence and patience and his course and distance winner looks on a upward curve. An early casualty when last seen, she handles the ground and can make the most of her freshness against the aforementioned pair. Lord Wishes faces a difficult challenge at the weights whereas Marcus Antonius cannot be discounted off the bottom rung on the back of a solid Cartmel runner-up effort.
