This looks a tight race on the figures so preference for DAYTIME DREAMER is only marginal with the likes of Grand Diamond and San Silvestro live contenders. The selection comes into the race on the back of a poor run on the level but he did win his penultimate start in that sphere and didn't fare too badly over hurdles inbetween. He's not made the frame in eight starts over obstacles but won't lack for assistance from the saddle today. San Silvestro found only one too good on his hurdling bow and should be competitive in what probably amounts to a race of similar quality whilst Grand Diamond has been in fair form on the level and has run a couple of sound races at Musselburgh but his stamina remains in doubt. Stylish Shot has been well held in handicap company lately but has claims at the weights with the pick of Dark Energy's form ensuring that he's worth a second look too but the nomination is Daytime Dreamer.
