SOLWAY ALLY arrives here one of very few who are proven at the distance and in form, so she's given the vote to go in again from Playing The Field and Ballymacduff. Harry Haynes is riding well and rates value for his 3lb claim which strengthens the case for our selection, a winner last time out at Ayr. She's a thorough stayer and showed great battling qualities to succeed that day having been prominent throughout and with doubts about so many she might be able to defy a 7lb rise. Playing The Field placed in a couple of points and will therefore have no stamina concerns, the worry being he's still a maiden and this ground may be a shade on the quick side. However, this is particularly weak and he could run into a place. Ballymacduff tries this trip for the first time but shapes as if he stays and with the yard amongst the winners he's another with each-way claims, so he's preferred of the rest for those seeking to take on the likely favourite. Top It All ran his best race to date last time but takes a step into the unknown trip-wise, whilst the versatile Ramvaswani does appear to stay but has only won once in 46 starts over timber. Run To Space should stay on this ground but has been showing little of late and can't be backed with confidence and Aghill would only be of interest if strong support arrived. Several out-of-form horses line up here so we'll stick with the last time out winner Solway Ally.
