Verdict
One of these fillies and mares will be hoping to force their way into the upper echelons of the Arc betting. Shareta is currently a 25/1 shot for the big one after a tenacious win in the Yorkshire Oaks. Last year's Arc runner-up finished third in this race last season and has already reversed form with the winner, Galikova, at Saint-Cloud in June. She beat The Fugue a neck at York and the latter had earlier finished six lengths behind PRINCESS HIGHWAY in the Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot. Ground dependant, Dermot Weld's filly came up short in the soft going in the Irish Oaks at the Curragh last time, but she should cope with today's forecast ground and the long straight at Longchamp will play to her strengths. Romantica makes most appeal of the Fabre trio and Sediciosa beat Yellow And Green before the latter won at Saint-Cloud but the unbeaten Salomina, German Oaks winner and stablemate to Danedream, could be anything and is worth a second glance.
