Detachment gave notice of an imminent victory when runner-up at Doncaster and has completed a double in convincing fashion, though a 9lb rise make this much more difficult. Michele Strogoff scored at Pontefract in July but hasn't been able to cope with a subsequent rise in the weights while Bobby K has only run on the all-weather, though looked progressive when scoring at Chelmsford. Blaze Of Hearts found his form at Brighton where he had plenty in hand so should make a bold bid but Why We Dream disappointed at Hamilton after scoring over this trip on fast ground at Carlisle. STORM AHEAD has become inconsistent but would have a chance second to none on his narrow defeat in a Class 3 handicap at Haydock last month so hopefully he'll be on a going day.
