      Verdict

      Warden Fizz is interesting on these terms and is selected in preference to Mr Hitchens, Rahere and Quail Landing. The last named showed improvement last time out and there is every reason to expect she will cope with the switch to turf. She will be very noteworthy when she goes handicapping after this. Rahere has a three-year-olds pedigree and can find his level as he gains in experience. The betting market will be a good gauge as to his fitness for this seasonal debut. Mr Hitchens is the most experienced of the bunch and has to merit respect in a race where he sets the standard as far as the BHA ratings are concerned. He is beginning to look exposed, though. This swings the attention to Warden Fizz, who ran a blinder at Newmarket 12 days ago. This does not look to be a much tougher assignment and, with Richard Quinn back in the plate being a positive sign, we expect a big run form this son of Efisio.
