The shortlist contains Amber Glory, Garlogs and Mannikko, with the vote going to Amber Glory. Amber Glory has proven pretty consistent on Turf, and has run well here and, with his mark seeming fair enough, is not ruled out of a good run, particularly as fitness will not be an issue. Garlogs took advantage of a generous handicap mark to win at Musselburgh last time but now has an eight-pounds ratings hike to overcome, although he is still very much respected. Canina has improved on the all-weather of late but needs more back on Turf now. Mannikko is bred for speed and improved with each run last season and he could be interesting this term. Immaculate Red showed improved form last time, but that came at Southwell. Quaker Boy ran well from a modest draw last time and might have better to come this season, while Thoughtsofstardom's wins so far have come in sellers, although he could get amongst the money. Finally, Milton's Choice also ran well here last season, but that run came over six furlongs and a longer trip may in fact be a better option for him ultimately. For today, then, we select Amber Glory.
