Street Star's form has been well advertised already this season and she may be fit enough to make a winning return; there are plenty of viable alternatives and there wasn't a great deal to choose between Baldemar, Mister Hardy, Lord Sandicliffe and Anosti who came home in that order at Ripon a fortnight ago. The selection was well backed on debut only to run green and find one too good, she was a warm order next time and knew more about the game but had the misfortune to bump into a smart one (Ibn Khaldun was fourth) before winning at Yarmouth. Five of the eleven fillies behind her have gone on to win and some have looked useful; her handicap mark is fair at best but we're hopeful that she has the class to defy it. Aside from the group that contested the Ripon sprint, Kashoof is arguably the most interesting of the remainder. John Dunlop's filly showed plenty of ability this year and her breeding offers hope that she'll be able to able to go on to further success this year. On this occasion though, we prefer Street Star.
