The three newcomers will have to be very useful to handle the two penalised contenders with Lyn's Secret seen as best of the trio. However, choosing between the pair of winners is difficult as both delivered impressive debut performances. Boko Fittleworth ran his rivals ragged at Market Rasen when making all whilst CRACKER FACTORY travelled well throughout before quickening clear of his Aintree field. The latter was rated superior on the Flat and may possibly have more speed around this sharp track but is a far from confident choice.
Boko Fittleworth (IRE) 11-2 (10-12) Jumped left, made all, drew clear before 2 out, unchallenged after, eased flat, very easily, won at Market Rasen 2m 1f (4) gd in Jun beating Strongarm Chaser (10-12) by 22l, 9 ran.
Cracker Factory 4-5fav (10-12) Tracked leaders, left 3rd after 3rd, close up 3 out, led next, ridden clear flat, ran on, won at Aintree 2m (4) gd in Jun beating Chief Justice (10-12) by 7l, 6 ran.
Barbara Villiers 4-1 (8-12) Tracked leader, led approaching 2f out, soon headed, weakened final furlong, 6th of 8, 12 1/4l behind Duck Egg Blue (10-0) at Hamilton 1m hcp fll (5) gf in May.
