In depth

Verdict

Shamrocked and Swing Alone look up against it in this company and Salisbury winner Farhaan will need to take another step forward to match the best form of today's rivals. Rockinante and Tenth Star had won Listed races before floundering in soft ground on their latest starts and the latter's stablemate Daddy Long Legs came up short at this level when fourth in the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster a fortnight ago. Ballydoyle is also represented by WROTE, who followed up his maiden win with victory in the same Galway nursery Treasure Beach won last year. He has something to find on the bare form but it's likely we haven't seen the best of him yet and he can take this Group 2.
