All of these are entered in the 2000 Guineas. Charlie Appleby has sent out three of the last four winners and all three went on to place in the Classic. He runs Woodbine Grade 1 winner Mysterious Night, the preferred mount of William Buick ahead of Naval Power, the three-time Listed winner who beat Dancing Magic at Haydock last autumn. The Foxes ended last season with a course and distance victory in the Group 2 Royal Lodge Stakes while the unexposed MOSTABSHIR was an easy winner at Kempton on November’s debut. The latter faces his first real test in this but the half-brother to dual Group 1 winner Nazeef may well prove up to the task. Indestructible has had wind surgery since finishing second of three runners in the Champagne Stakes and is preferred to Horris Hill third Ancestral Land and Mr Mistoffelees.
