Maksab has done most of his racing here and won on the July course last summer. He ran well in a couple of strong back-end nurseries later and De Sousa is an interesting jockey booking. Off a mark of 79, Neeraan is potentially well treated on his handicap debut as he showed plenty of promise in three runs last term. Plunger and Launceston Place have had a run and there should be more to come from Morlock and Christopher Wood this year. Wilson is a stone better off than when behind George at Brighton in October but the one they all have to beat may be BREATH CAUGHT (NAP). He progressed with each run last season and stormed clear of two subsequent winners at Doncaster in October – Ryan Moore keeps the partnership intact.
