Little for us to go on here but Mark Johnston's juveniles often come on plenty for their first run and with that in mind we will nominate AKBABEND to outpoint his rivals. The Refuse To Bend colt was, admittedly, well beaten on a soft ground Warwick debut over seven furlongs. However, he looked pretty green and was keeping on well towards the finish, so he should know much more this time and gets the vote. Legislate is another who can improve for a decent enough Newbury debut, now stepped up to a more suitable trip. Similarly, Hi Fling is another more than likely to show us better than he did at Yarmouth first time. Play To Win has been a shade disappointing, even given that David Elsworth does not like to rush his juveniles, but there is every chance that the colt will improve at three so he is not one to dismiss. Dreamcoat is very well related and should enjoy a fastish surface for this debut, so with John Gosden's string in cracking form he is very much respected. Highland Glen is another beautifully bred sort, who should have the ability to get involved if he is straight enough for this first run. Mishkin fits a similar bill, although he is already gelded before this debut and it may be that he needs a bit of time to hit his peak. Carte D'Oro is bred to get better with age, but Mooakada could give Martin Dwyer a nice ride. Plenty of imponderables then and we'll suggest Akabend as the selection.
