In depth

Verdict

A race chock-full of talent where Doctor Fremantle has to be to the fore of calculations as Sir Michael Stoute has twice won this race with Group race performers and the Sadler's Wells colt will be expected to follow a similar path. He's not alone in that respect though and it may be worth taking him on with Prime Exhibit whilst Bronze Cannon, Irish Mayhem and Goodwood Starlight are others to bear in mind. Prime Exhibit finished behind one of today's opponents in Ballochroy on debut but stepped up considerably on that form when running out an impressive winner at Leicester. He still held an entry for the Racing Post Trophy at that stage which is an indication of the regard in which he is held and he should give a good account. Doctor Fremantle was an expensive failure on his second start but the winner, who has not been out since, is in the Oaks and he won his subsequent start as he liked; he is entered in the Irish Derby. Irish Mayhem improved with each outing whilst Bronze Cannon and Dream Desert have both caught the eye and hold entries for the Dante. Not an easy race to get to the bottom of but we'll take Prime Exhibit to strut his stuff.
