Count Trevisio has been in consistent form of late but, along with the frustrating Seulement, may well find that the ground conditions are too testing and preference is for Motaraqeb. The selection showed signs of a revival when a staying on fourth over course and distance last time and on that evidence he looks thee one to beat here under ground conditions that should suit. Nanton has won his last two starts but both have been on faster ground, while Cactus King has a nice racing weight and comes from a yard in good form but is another that would probably want faster ground. St Petersburg will not mind the underfoot conditions but has plenty of weight, while Joseph Henry is another for who a faster surface would be ideal. Rain Stops Play and Plum Pudding are closely matched on running here last month and here should not be a great deal to choose between them again; however, Motaraqeb has plenty going for him and he gets the vote.
