Verdict
Last year's winner Integral has obvious claims if back to her best after failing to land the odds at Royal Ascot behind 25/1 winner Amazing Maria. It remains to be seen if the latter can reproduce that level of form here. LUCIDA (NAP) was also beaten at Ascot when attempting to come from last in the Coronation Stakes and beaten less than a length by the French filly Ervedya though well ahead of Arabian Queen. Jim Bolger's filly gets another chance to get it right this time having earlier suffered a narrow defeat in the 1,000 Guineas. The French launch a strong challenge with Fintry attempting to confirm latest running at Chantilly with Avenir Certain. The latter had the measure of Bawina in Group 1 contests on home Turf last season and can go close while Euro Charline won a Grade 1 at Arlington last year and is preferred to stablemate Lady Dutch.
