      Verdict

Beneventa is a progressive sort and can complete a hat-trick at the expense of Polish Corridor and Parisien Star. John Dunlop's filly lines up at the top of her form and must rate as one of the better bets on the card. The daughter of Most Welcome really looked the part when storming home at Ascot in handicap company last time, advertising once again the form of her earlier Kempton victory. The runner-up there, Peace, had already franked that form when scoring at Nottingham, so Beneventa's claims are obvious. The trip and ground are perfect here for this relative of Hernandita, and she can give Pat Eddery another winner before he retires at the end of the season. Polish Corridor has been knocking at the door but has a break to overcome and may need a bit further to be seen to best advantage, while Parisien Star should get no further than today's trip on breeding. Alamouna has scope to improve on her Brighton victory but she will surely find Beneventa too hot to handle here and will make a bigger impact in the paddocks.
