Frivolous seemed to appreciate the drop in trip last time out and John Gosden's filly gets the nod ahead of Almoutaz and Opera Prince. The last-named would have no chance if taking the form of his debut literally, however he was held up to get the trip and didn't seem to get home. Now taking a two-furlong drop in trip, the booking of Ryan Moore looks intriguing and he shouldn't be overlooked. However Frivolous sets the standard on bare form and the filly gets the vote. She appeared to improve from first to second runs and with further improvement anticipated assuming that the ground doesn't soften further, a big run can be expected. Almoutaz looks a big danger; Barry Hills' colt has shown ability in two starts to date but a tendency to pull hard means that he doesn't always have the reserves to draw on close home. Expect improvement from Benedetto as the stable's juveniles often improve markedly for the run, whilst Dancing Belle is nicely bred but may need some more time and distance before we see the best of her. Unlicensed comes from a stable who can get one ready but will probably need more time, so of more interest may be Cotton Reel. Paul Cole's colt still looks fairly immature but he has shown glimpses of ability from the front in his two starts. At a price Moon Sister could run into a place although she may need further in time as she is related to several stayers, and so we will return to Frivolous for the winner.
