After a comeback third at Kelso, Charlie Snow Angel won a veterans’ race here earlier in the month. Up Helly Aa King ended last season with a victory at Carlisle but Stoney Rover has an alternative engagement at that track tomorrow. Reverant Cust could be interesting if ready after a break but WESTERN RULES didn’t have much luck at Kelso three weeks ago and, if that has blown away the cobwebs, Nicky Richards’ charge has a decent chance in a race like this. Oak Vintage is potentially well treated but has been out of sorts for a while.
