As with the previous race, Jeremy Noseda fields an interesting newcomer in the shape of SUD PACIFIQUE - another Derby entry that is hardly thrown in at the deep end for his first visit to a racecourse. The Montjeu colt holds a full house as far as entries are concerned and he would appear to have been well placed to gain a confidence booster before being aimed at more illustrious targets. Of the others: Sergeant Ablett, a half-brother to stablemate Drill Sergeant, can be expected to cope with a bit of give underfoot and, as Mark Johnson has a near one-in-five strike-rate with juveniles at this course; there are solid reasons to fear the challenge presented by this son of Danehill Dancer. Indian Giver has shown enough recent progress to merit an interest for a place in the frame, while Adlington also has ability but needs to bounce back from a disappointing effort last time out. Face The Future may be the best of the remainder.
