    Verdict

MERRIMENT (NAP) scored by over four lengths over track and trip just four days ago and 6lb extra may not be enough to anchor Peter Niven’s mare if in a similar mood. Alsacienne has found one too good over course and distance the last twice now but failed to threaten on either occasion while Dubawi Fifty steps up in trip for only his second start in a handicap having finished runner-up over 1m4f here last time. Heavensfield is another who may do better attempting 2m for the first time today.
