Daldini probably just has the beating of Edmo Yewkay on their running at Wetherby last month but both may have to settle for minor honours here behind SILVER BY NATURE, who is given the verdict. The selection was good value for his win in a novices' chase at Ayr earlier this month, having been still going well enough when falling late on in a handicap the time before and off just a 2lb higher mark today, Lucinda Russell's gelding looks worth siding with. Don McCain has his team in good form so his runner, Corlande, has to be respected but he needs to improve on recent form to trouble the judge and a bigger threat may come from Silver Sedge. Only 3lbs higher than when scoring at Ayr last time, he makes more appeal than Howard Johnson's Jack The Blaster who has been off the track for some time. Silver By Nature is inexperienced over fences but looks to be going the right way now and he gets the vote to follow up his recent Ayr success.
