Verdict
North Landing appeals as a betting proposition on these terms and can gain some compensation for some recent near misses, possibly at the main expense of The Names Bond and Nerone. The last named is open to improvement and seems to be getting the hang of what is required of him. He shapes as if he can pay his way this term but would not want the ground to be too testing this afternoon. The Names Bond appeals as a bigger danger after his comfortable win at Hexham last month. This is a tougher engagement but Rose Davidson's 7lb will help off-set the burden of top weight. Again the ground has to be a concern with him on these terms and he needs everything to drop just right. Therefore, we switch to North Landing, who handled the testing conditions well at Carlisle on his latest start. This more galloping track will be much more to his liking and he looks worth keeping on the right side whilst he is in such good heart.
