AL MUSTASHAR is out of a dam that has produced winners with all three of her offspring to race and he’s a half-brother to Prize Money, who beat Postponed in a Group 2 at Meydan earlier this year. Undoubtedly, he’ll do better over further in time but this looks a decent starting point for a colt who has an entry in next month’s Gimcrack. Newmarket third Tathmeen and the once-raced Qayes are likely to prove the pick of those with experience with the latter slowly away on debut, though Reverberation showed some promise at Salisbury and the extra furlong will suit.
Qayes 9-1 (9-2) Slowly into stride, soon in touch on outside, headway chasing leaders 4f out, weakened over 1f out, last of 9, 6 1/2l behind Glorious Journey (9-2) at Newmarket 6f stks (4) gd in Jun.
Reverberation 25-1 (9-2) Held up, pushed along halfway, kept on final furlong, never a factor, 6th of 11, 4 1/4l behind Youkan (9-2) at Salisbury 5f stks (4) gs in May.
Tathmeen (IRE) 7-1 (9-2) Keen tracked leaders, ridden over 1f out, kept on one pace, 3rd of 7, 6 1/2l behind Invincible Army (9-2) at Newmarket 6f stks (4) gf in Jun.
Achianna (USA) Gemologist filly out of Adoradancer.
Lady Of Petra Compton Place filly out of Aqaba.
Al Mustashar (IRE) Shamardal colt out of Dresden Doll.
Dazzle Gold (USA) 16-1 (9-2) Mid-division, headway over 2f out, weakened over 1f out, 5th of 13, 7 1/4l behind Wasim (9-2) at Doncaster 7f stks (5) gf in Jul.
