Verdict

This is a very competitive handicap. Hurricane Harvey has found a new lease of life this season and should be thereabouts again. He was well ahead of Abuffalosoldier at Musselburgh last month. Zanza is seeking a sixth course victory but is better known as a chaser nowadays. He can, however, race off an 18lb lower mark than over fences. Kilbeg King was thought good enough to run in the Grade 1 Challow here in December and has won since at Fontwell but KNOWSLEY ROAD (NAP) is also proving a useful novice and he ran as well as could be expected on unsuitable heavy going in a Grade 2 at Warwick latest. Loup De Maulde has been a revelation reverting to hurdles this term but has gone up 30lb in the weights as a consequence.
