Verdict
Indian Ink and Silk Blossom are closely matched on their running in the Lowther Stakes last term and, as at York, the latter is taken to again come out on top with Silca Chiave rated the pick of the remainder. The selection showed progressive form last season, following up her York success with victory in a valuable sales race at The Curragh over seven furlongs. The daughter of Barathea should get a mile in the future but this trip is adequate for her now and, with the yard of Barry Hills in good form, she is taken to make a winning return. Sesmen would have claims on the pick of her juvenile form but disappointed when last seen so may be best watched, while Darrfonah is held by the selection on Lowther running. Mick Channon's Silca Chiave ran a creditable race in the Cheveley Park when last seen, form on which she is closely matched with Indian Ink. Richard Hannon's filly has solid claims on the evidence of that Newmarket run but on Lowther running it is Silk Blossom that gets the verdict.
