The short list contains Opera Music, Putra Square and Sugar Ray, with the vote going to Opera Music. Sugar Ray cost 290,000 guineas and attracts plenty of interest on his debut. A 48,000 guineas two-year-old, Calzhage attracts some interest, as does the 120,000 guineas purchase Fifty Cents. Odin Dawn's Lingfield debut fourth was promising, as was Opera Music's debut Salisbury second to subsequent winner St Philip on his debut, and that augured well for his future. Putra Square looks a big player on his form shown to date and is respected, whilst it would be no surprise to see Rock Anthem improve on his debut. Overall, though, the vote goes to Opera Music.
